  • Independence, MO in Office

  • Pay Range: $28 - $31 per hour

The Hospice Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the care provided by our field staff members who work directly with clients in their homes. The role requires high levels of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing

  • Interacting with client families and field staff

  • Troubleshooting problems and providing resolution

  • Highly Organized & Detail Oriented

  • Available to assist with admissions when needed.

  • Heavy emphasis on collections.

  • Represents the Financial Services Department in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Generating and posting revenue on a weekly basis.

  • Submitting claims and following up on denials with the payers.

  • Communication with operations staff.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license preferred or equivalent intake experience.

  • Previous staffing, scheduling, and hospice experience is a plus.

  • Must have a minimum basic knowledge of keyboarding, personal computers, and Microsoft Office (including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook).

  • Must be strong in customer service.

  • Must have strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be reliable, have a great attitude, and possess a strong work-ethic.

  • Must be detailed, accurate, organized and have the ability to multi-task.

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in general office setting.
