ASM Global Environmental Cleaner - Events in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Summary:Environmental Cleaners are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the venue prior, during and after events. This position requires general housekeeping duties with an eye for details. Emptying trash, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning of restrooms, glass/mirrors, sanitization/disinfecting, mopping and dusting are the basic duties. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and bend with constant walking including stairs for the majority of the shift. Must be able to perform under pressure and follow verbal instructions associated with cleaning in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties: • Detailed cleaning including but not limited to mopping, emptying trash cans, replacing trash liners, wipe down areas, sweep, clean up spills and fluids, floor maintenance and other miscellaneous cleaning functions throughout the venue. • Follow tasks, procedures and cleaning routines as assigned according to performance standards in a timely and efficient manner. • Report damage or areas that need further attention to Supervisor. • Interact professionally with building staff, clients, vendors, guests and supervisors. • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:• A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.• Related experience preferred but willing to train dependable and eager candidates. • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. • Able to perform multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. • Ability to maintain good business relations with all employees and managers in other departments.• Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements, extending, grasping, pushing, pulling and squeezing. • Able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted, bending, squatting, standing, stoop, walk public areas on feet for at least 6 hours continuously. Stair climbing is also an important part of daily activities.• Must maintain a professional appearance, utilizing both provided resources (uniform) and personal resources. • Must wear proper PPE in accordance with company policy and OSHA requirements. • Comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (I.e. using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents etc.)• Reliable and comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as event schedule requires.

Preferred Qualifications:• Prior experience in a cleaning environment, methods, supplies and equipment are desired but not required as qualified individuals will be fully trained.
