Description

The A2R Senior Team Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing end-to-end service delivery in the General Accounting function for specific business sector(s) and countries serviced by GFS-Asia Pacific (China).

Account to Report Process Management

  • Responsible for the planning, management and overall delivery of services in the A2R function (cross sector) – including inter-company, fixed assets, general accounting, period end closing and others where required

  • Participate and assist in strategic planning for GFS-Asia Pacific (China) where required

  • Represent the A2R function for GFS-Asia Pacific (China)

  • Lead change efforts into GFS-Asia Pacific (China) for A2R area

  • Develop and implement A2R policies and procedures and ensure compliance as administered in GFS-Asia Pacific (China)

  • Manage service levels and targets to ensure delivery as defined in Service Level Agreements

  • Develop and evaluate performance indices to measure operational efficiency against best practice

  • Resolve complex or critical process issues which go beyond GA team lead’s capabilities

  • Review and analyze management reports as required and drive necessary actions for improvement

  • Monitor resource utilization and manage resource allocation, including identifying changes to long term resource needs and implementing necessary actions

  • Work closely together with other Process Managers (I2P/P2P, I2C) to insure best possible communication and interaction between the processes

  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with all markets and business sector(s) serviced by GFS-Asia Pacific (China)

Audit and Compliance

  • Ensure current processes, operations, systems, databases and information security are up to date and comply with proper accounting and legal principles/policies/procedures, including US GAAP, Company WWP (worldwide procedures), ICH, SOX and others

  • Keep new initiatives’ implemented in compliance

  • Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – ensure staff and information are available as required

Customer Service

  • Deliver service excellence and maximize customer service and satisfaction with managing the resources

  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders (external / internal customers, co-workers)

  • Maintain professional attitude during service delivery and resolution of issues

  • Ensure that service levels and targets are met as per Service Level Agreements

  • Perform problem tracking and ensure that issues are escalated in a timely manner and properly documented, prioritized, tracked, and resolved

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead identification of opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions and system enhancements so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner

  • Focus on simplification, standardization, quality improvement and cost minimization of process

  • Proactive involvement in determining and implementing best practices

  • Drive implementation of business process improvement initiatives to the team as required

  • Ensure updated and/or improved process documentation and SOPs as required

  • Manage the team work through the ERP application’s upgrade or transformation

People Management

  • Develop and manage A2R team goals, work schedules and activities, back up procedures and staffing requirements to ensure coverage at all times

  • Pro-actively allocate resources – including job rotation and cross training to facilitate knowledge sharing and people development

  • Ensure team members have the appropriate skills, supporting tools and technologies via organizing training to enable them to deliver excellent customer service

  • Provide leadership, coaching, counseling, training and guidance to the team so they can proactively carry out their role to the highest possible standard

  • Set performance objectives, and monitor and evaluate team performance and open communication on a regular basis to ensure that service levels and targets as defined in Service Level Agreements are met; and take corrective action when required

  • Create an positive environment that allows team members to grow and be continuously challenged

  • Drive towards balanced workload, quality recruitment and high team motivation and morale

  • Cultivate customer service culture and team cohesion through meetings and team building activities with management team and employees

GFS – Asia Pacific (China)

  • Ensure the successful transfer of activities for service countries, for instance process documentation, knowledge transfer, resource evaluation, job shadowing and training delivery to up skill new hires

  • Assist in other setup activities as required

Qualifications

  • At least University degree in a finance related disciplines

  • Obtained Certified Public Accountant or equivalent qualification is desired (eg. CPA/ACCA/CMA会计上岗证)

  • At least 8 – 10 years of experience in the A2R function

  • At least 3-5 years supervisory or team management experience desirable

  • Good capability to read, write and speak English,Chinese, Japanese
