We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our vibrant cafeteria team. As a Food Service Worker in our cafeteria, you will play a pivotal role in creating an enjoyable dining experience for our customers. You will assist in food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and inviting cafeteria environment. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of food items, including hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and beverages, with utmost attention to quality and presentation.

  • Follow established recipes, portion sizes, and food safety guidelines to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain a clean and organized cafeteria by adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards.

  • Restock and replenish food supplies, condiments, and utensils as needed.

  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, fryers, and coffee machines.

  • Assist with food inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.

  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service by addressing customer inquiries, dietary restrictions, and special requests.

  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale system.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow, timely service, and a positive dining experience for all customers.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and welcoming work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a food service role, preferably in a cafeteria, restaurant, or similar setting.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Company Requirements:

  • Stand for long periods of time.

  • Work around others in close quarters.

Job Specifics

  • Hours (6:30a.m to 1:30p.m)

  • Pay: (Hourly) $14.75
