Ashtabula County Department of Environmental Services Laborer (seasonal) in Jefferson, Ohio

Ashtabula County Department of Environmental Services is hiring for Seasonal Labor.

Job Responsibilities:   Under general supervision Seasonal Laborer perform various general maintenance of property grounds: including but not limited to painting and clearing around hydrants, manholes and related water and wastewater appurtenances and equipment, operating a variety of basic equipment, including weed eaters, shovels, picks, wrenches, and electric tools and driving vehicles as required. Work at time will be performed in busy streets and along roadways. Other duties will include, but not be limited to working at all facilities related to the Department of Environmental Services to include the office area. Other duties will include working around the County sewer system and acting as a safety person as needed. The ability to keep records and write reports is preferred.

Qualifications:  Applicant must be 18 years or older, must possess a high school diploma of proof of GED. Must possess a valid drivers' license, an acceptable driving record and be insurable. A valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is helpful. Must pass post-offer physical and drug screen as well as BCI Fingerprint background check.
