Parsons Corporation Senior Interface/AV/Show Controls Engineer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Interface/AV/Show Controls Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to responsible for all Show Audio & Show Control aspects for the Attractions and provides technical management in the project. You have a strong technical background in the design, fabrication, installation, acceptance testing of Show Audio & Show Control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all the Show Audio & Show Controls for the project.

  • Oversees and specialist vendors, samples, prototypes, mockups, and acceptance testing efforts ensuring a safe and completed installation of a Ride or Show element / system meets the scope of works, specifications, and contract deliverables.

  • Review design documents from specialist vendors and ensures compliance with the contractual obligations, requirements, and specifications.

  • Leads and review facility design documents and identify interfaces and integrations between Attractions and Complex.

  • Define scopes, create a detailed work plan and schedules, determine resources (time, money, equipment, etc.), reports and trackers detailing the work scope.

  • Develop schedules for project completion that establish a clear ownership of tasks and closely manage project timelines.

Requirements

  • Leads and manages all site installation, testing and adjusting of show and ride systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

  • Leads coordination and integration efforts with the Facility and Construction teams and Specialist Vendors to ensure a clear line of communication regarding installation, testing and adjusting activities.

  • Management experience in project/construction management.

  • Experience in entertainment complex operations

  • Knowledge of specialty technical systems and how they integrate into the larger base build of an Attraction.

  • Knowledge of industry safety and code requirements.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and vendors

  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams of professionals.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple Attractions spaces simultaneously, excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral skills in English are essential.

  • Ability to manage and implement related construction/design documents.

  • Ensure attractions comply to local and international rides and attractions certification requirements (DIN, EN, ASTM, SASO).

  • Coordination with third party design review & inspection body consultant.

  • Coordination with PMC & general contractor for installation, T&C, operations & inspections.

  • Resolve issues arising on site being cognizant of time & cost impacts.

  • Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years minimum international theme park/large scale attractions experience in project/construction management. 3+ years vendor management experience a must or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Advanced degrees are preferred.

  • Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with third party design consultants, contractors and vendors, interface and coordinate project performance with other disciplines, interpret and deliver client's vision, and proactively manage the design process and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards
