Job Coach

Reports to: Missions Coordinator

Education/ Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Higher education or experience preferred.

Job Requirements: Self- starter who can work independently and as a team player. Outgoing personality. Possess an ability to work comfortably with disabled youth and adults. Clean driving record and ability to pass driver's record check to be added to company's auto insurance.  Ability to pass FBI & BCI background check.  Proficient in verbal and written skills. Computer skills are a must. Will be using own vehicle to transport and must have current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 25lbs. If the person makes use of a wheelchair or other mobility devices, accommodations will be made.

Position is Seasonal Part-time

Summer Youth Work Experience (2 5-week sessions): June 3 - July 5th and July 8th - August 9th

Will be hired by May 17th. 1 week of job training and 1 week of routes training.

Job Duties:

  1. Work side by side with the participant at the job site teaching specific job skills, job safety and appropriate work behaviors for success on the
  2. Orient the participant to the job site and assist him/her to understand and assume the responsibilities of the
  3. Maintain a good working relationship with the participant, worksite supervisor, and co­ workers.
  4. Assist the participant in learning the requirements and responsibilities of the job and help perform job task as
  5. Observe and identify patterns of the workplace.
  6. Modify and/or adapt job to accommodate participant's needs with job site supervisor's approval.
  7. Identify and resolve problems in the work site as needed.
  8. Assist in the development of job
  9. Maintain effective internal and external communications to assure the success of participants and
  10. Maintain standards and documentation to assure
  11. Act in an ethical manner in regard to representing Goodwill in the community within daily business activities and with regard to representing the interest of a person with
  12. Other duties as assigned by the Missions Coordinator.
