Columbia Case Works Cabinet Builder in Jackson, Missouri

Columbia Caseworksis actively seeking an experienced Cabinet Builder. As a Cabinet Builder you will be responsible for building all wood/laminate commercial casework /cabinets, Wiling to train the right individual with the appropriate attitude for the job.

This position requires the ability to use hands to operate woodwork manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to table saw, router, chop saw, glue guns, clamps, sanders, and table routers.

CNC experience is preferred.

Ability to stand, sit , stoop, and move location to location is required. This position requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move items for 10-50 lbs. The ability to read and understand shop drawings is required.

Essential Functions(Include but are limited to)

  • Attention to detail, produce product from detailed blueprints and sketches.
  • Self-Starter, must be able to work with little supervision.
  • Communicate with the team members to ensure continuous production of the correct product ar high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
  • Cut out, build, assemble, glue, cut and sandall components for assigned jobs.
  • Monitor manufacturing specifications in blueprints type documents to ensure that proper materials are used for job orders and meet company quality standards and job specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used for job orders using material usage sheets
  • Complete other duties and assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast pace, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

  • Attention to detail
  • Experience is a wood working production environment.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and rectifying problems that may occur during the process
  • Comfortable operating machine tools, pneumatica nail guns and measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of material, hardware and cabinet/ fixtures design methodology.
  • Ability to work well with other team members
  • Ability to work safely, identify hazards and follow safety procedures

Experience Required

  • Hands-on experience working with hand power tools and accessories in a manufacturing or woodworking environment or similar.
  • Experience working at a cabinet shop manufacturing/building custom cabinets or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years hands-on experience in woodworking.
  • 1+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing and assembly of custom mill work or casework
  • 1+ years hands-on experience with solid surface and wood lamination is a plus
