Tilden Mining Company Shift Manager Plant Maintenance in Ishpeming, Michigan

Shift Manager - Plant Maintenance - 4-Crew

This role at the Tilden Plant is responsible for contributing to the maintenance team coordinating all aspects of mechanical maintenance.

Summary of Responsibilities: Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet all MSHA standards. Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule. Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan. Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel. Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior supervisor daily. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role. Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided) Schedule demands: rotating shift role that alternates weekly, typically Monday through Friday, 8-hour or 12-hour shifts. Must be able to work alternate schedules that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and/or overtime, and be punctual while doing so.

Preferred Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting. 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.
