Tilden Mining Company Reliability Engineer in Ishpeming, Michigan

Cliff Michigan Operations has an immediate opportunity for a Reliability Engineerat our Tilden site. This position supports the operation by improving proactive maintenance through emphasis on predictive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance.

Summary of Responsibilities: Oversees portions of the predictive and preventative maintenance programs in the department. Develops or improves routes and intervals, coordinates with vendors or internal technicians, adjusts as needed based on pareto analysis, initiates work orders as needed to plan and schedule repairs. Monitors equipment delay systems to populate detailed pareto downtime analysis to allow accurate analysis of unscheduled equipment downtime and component failure. Develops a total life cycle cost report and other ad hoc reports to identify improvement opportunities. Initiates and manage a predictive maintenance program. This would include failure analysis and cause mapping analysis of all failure work orders to make adjustments to operating practices, maintenance procedures, materials replacement, or PM frequencies. Ensures that all pieces of equipment have a preventative maintenance (PM) checklist and that the work packages are current.Monitors compliance to PM schedules and works with maintenance planners to review and adjust PM checklists, optimize intervals and content to improve the preventative maintenance processes to eliminate unscheduled equipment downtime. Reviews operations inspection checklists on lubrication levels, temperatures, pressure readings, flow rates, and general visual observations for content, interval, and completion to ensure inspections are proper. Take action as needed. Implements and manages a component tracking program to identify and recommend new materials or parts to extend life and reduce cost per ton. Manages project work as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent. Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a mining/mineral processing operation. 2 - 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
