Job Description

Job Summary

The Total Loss Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Total Loss, Insurance Repair and Gap teams; overseeing the processes, associate performance and achievement of required Service Levels in conjunction with policy, procedure and quality requirements. In addition, the Total Loss Manager is responsible to drive processes and functions within their teams; achieving appropriate net recovery results through negotiations; mitigating losses to the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to daily strategy implementation and execution, gap detection with correction within processes, performance tracking and communication as well as achievement of quality requirements through auditing and based on policy, procedure, and compliance. The Total Loss Manager will manage and facilitate the Call Handling process; ensuring that Service Levels are achieved, Quality Assurance requirements are met, and Customer Complaints are monitored and solutioned.

Job Duties

  • Manage, Direct and Assign volume within the Total Loss, Insurance Repair and Gap processes based on strategy builds for appropriate handling within established policy, procedure and required Service Levels.

  • Staffing assessment and allocation for proper coverage for Total Loss, Insurance Repair and Gap Call Handling, Account Processing and Function Completion within established Service Levels and Quality Requirements.

  • Quality assessment of completed productivity by Total Loss Specialists for accuracy, timeliness and compliance with regulations, policy and procedure for all Total Loss, Insurance Repair and Gap functions with development and training of directs where opportunities are present

  • Identify process enhancements and opportunities to close gaps within all Total Loss, Insurance Repair and Gap functions to ensure compliance with policy, procedure and compliance requirements

  • Partner with and assist other departments across the organization, as needed as well as with Total Loss, Insurance Repair and Gap Vendors

  • Monitor, Solution and Solve Customer Complaints received with correction to process as stop gap

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Six (6) years of related experience.

  • One (1) year of management experience.

  • E xperience in leading processes and direct reports

  • Experience and knowledge in regulations, compliance requirements, and processes preferred

  • General knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

  • Established verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Adaptable to changes within a face paced environment

  • Can effectively collaborate with peers and leadership
