What You'll Get to Do:

As a USAFRICOM Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) Analysis and Assessments Specialist, you will provide services that meet Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation and Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) Program goals and objectives. You will plan and execute all aspect of FIAR support that assists the command in meeting its objectives and compliance with DoD audit requirements.

More About this Role:

You will provide Audit Remediation Program planning support incorporating advice, analyses, training, and assistance in carrying out responsibilities to support Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation and Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) Program. You will develop Financial Improvement Plans (FIP) for each assessable unit and other audit documentation as required. You will assist in continued discovery, testing, and validation efforts that require audit Remediation validation for assigned financial segments. You will conduct, manage, and present Data Analytics and Metrics reporting to Client Leadership.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Developing Standardized Operating Procedures, Assessable Unit Process Maps and Narratives, and Desk Guides.

  • Supporting internal/external audits, including planning, testing of controls, data analysis, and preparing white papers and memorandum for record (MFRs) to properly document findings.

  • Developing training material and conducting training sessions with Clients and Staff.

  • Utilizing financial and property system data (GFEBS, DPAS, etc.) for financial analysis in support of the financial statement audit.

  • Researching and developing compliance programming, compliance initiatives and internal controls.

  • Experience leading multiple work efforts, overseeing team deliverables, and client interactions.

  • Experience with facilitating and planning of entrance conferences, exit conferences and audit interviews.

  • Developing and Monitoring operational metrics and indicators related to compliance performance and coordinates all activities related to Internal Controls Over Non-Financial Operations, Financial Reporting and Systems.

  • Developing and assisting in the implementation of routine methods of review and data analysis, to enable the prevention, detection, correction (CAPs), monitoring and auditing of relevant compliance risks.

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.)

  • 3-5 years’ experience directly supporting a Financial Improvement Audit Remediation (FIAR) Program

  • 3-5 years’ experience supporting a Service, Component, or other Joint Staff

  • 3-5 years of experience with Financial Controls Testing and Assessments

  • Very Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizens only)

More About the Program:

In line with the terms of this Contract, the AFRICOM Operations, Plans and Training Support (AOPTS) Program provides for:

  • Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) at State Department rates

  • An Education Benefit for dependent children K-12 at the DoDDS rates

  • Shipment and delivery of Household Goods (HHG) up to 18000 lbs.

  • Shipment and delivery of one privately owned vehicle

  • Overseas relocation travel for the employee and SOFA-approved family members for up to 60 days

  • Relocation lodging and per diem and the 75% rate

  • One rental car and fuel for up to 60 days

  • Transportation fares or mileage during relocation
