Summer, Gowans Crew-The hours for this position will vary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  • Pick up trash/debris.
  • Plant, maintain, trim, weed, mulch, and water; Flowers, shrubs, pots, and landscape beds.
  • Daily yard work (mowing, edging, trimming, etc.)
  • work on all outdoor campus athletic facilities.
  • Assist other employees as needed.
  • Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Coordinators of Facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grounds experience preferred.
  • Athletic interest preferred.
  • Must be a neat and clean individual. Portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members is essential.
  • The ability to cooperate with students and college personnel.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to safely push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, (up to a height of 8), walk, carry, and to regularly lift up to 50 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc., perform other physical activities as becomes necessary. May work in adverse conditions with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease. The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to successfully perform the duties.
