Jacobs Test Engineer III- Secret in Huntsville, Alabama

Your Impact:

Jacobs is looking for a Test Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. You will be working in Department of Justice organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.

The Test Engineer position is a part of a team that tests on premises and cloud-based applications. In addition to standard application testing, the team also has a focus on automating testing utilizing a fully implemented CI/CD pipeline. The team utilizes agile methodologies to plan projects and tasks and break them down into 2-week sprints. The team is made up of cloud engineers and developers working closely together to complete projects for the customer. We are looking for test engineers that want to implement and learn cutting-edge cloud technologies and services to support our customer and their multiple national security missions. The tester should have extensive experience in both functional and automated testing.

This is an exciting opportunity for cleared talent with a Secret clearance to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Estimated time to complete the clearance sponsorship process is approximately 12-15 months. Once the Top Secret clearance is fully adjudicated and a position is available, the candidate will be eligible to work on the program.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with development and scripting languages

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with test automation tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Selenium or Junit

  • Experience with integrating test automation frameworks into a CI/CD pipeline

  • 3 year experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and/or TSQL

  • 1 year experience with TFS, Git, and/or SVN

Preferred:

  • Experience working in an agile scrum environment

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Experience with Selenium or another automated testing tool
