Position Description:

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Software Engineer position. The Software Engineer will provide technical support to a U.S. Space Force satellite constellation development contract. This position requires a talented Software Engineer that can work with a multi-disciplined team to perform software engineering to support all phases of the system lifecycle, including requirements development, design, development, and test and evaluation. The Software Engineer will be required to assist the team with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSandA); Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations; software development and integration; test and evaluation; and operations. This effort will entail support to develop 2D and 3D tracking algorithms utilizing space-based thermal imaging systems as well as providing physics-based modeling of end-to-end mission and implementation of Monte Carlo controlled scenario-based analysis of the satellite designs ability to meet requirements.

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineerinng, or relevant technical field with 5+ years direct experience on DoD programs.

US Citizen with a current DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Ability to work in dynamic environment.

Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Required Experience:

Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: Object-Oriented Programming, Embedded Systems, FPGA Development, Cloud Software Development, MSandA, and HWIL simulations.

Direct experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and STK.

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile software development principles and practices.

Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and Rust.

Experience with the Windows and Linux operating systems.

Experience with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.

Experience creating and managing design and development documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with MBSE and MSandA integration.

Experience with satellite design and development programs
