Human Resource Generalist, Nights

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Huntsville, AL (11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.)

Opportunity

Under the direction of the Manager, Human Resources, this position will support the Huntsville Campus, with shared responsibility in Kitchen & Bath of North America. This position will provide HR support for recruiting for this location as well as support for all performance management activities. This position leads all HR functions including organizational development, recruitment and selection, performance management and associate/labor relations to build the strength of the organization. Provides ongoing coaching to management related to associate performance and all other HR issues.

Support all aspects of the Huntsville team to achievement goals and objectives with available resources. Ensure all areas managed are implementing and sustaining all initiatives of KSMS safety standards. Ensure areas of responsibility are always operating under the absolute safest working environment for associates and their activities.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordination of recruiting for the assigned plant location including partnering with the business to establish hiring profiles and parameters.

  • Consult and guide management in the administration and management of the associate and performance management tools (Core Competencies, Maximizing Performance, Succession Planning), for the purpose of building organizational and leadership strength.

  • Participate in all plant and business unit activities and strategy to link objectives to HR activity and programs. Act as a business partner understanding the business from an operational perspective. Continuously display to the business how HR can positively affect the bottom line.

  • Prepare and provide data for various labor reports required (to include turnover, transfers, headcount, terminations, etc.). Provide templates to Corporate HR Services regarding associate changes.

  • Successfully maneuver through various HR issues based on a solid command of HR processes, procedures, and employment laws, and independently work through employee relations issues.

  • Identifies key positions and develops succession strategies for those positions. Identifies emerging talent for development, and partner with business in development plans, stretch assignments, and opportunities.

  • Lead the orientation and training of new associates, prepare and deliver effective and efficient training that develops new associates and reinforces business objectives.

  • With the support of Sr HR Generalist, Mgr – Human Resources and corporate labor relations, lead the development of strategies and solutions to labor issues and complaint resolution.

  • Counsel management, professionals, and manufacturing associates on individual HR issues, performance problems, terminations, promotions, position creation, job content, and job description development and ACT’s.

  • Work in conjunction with division safety specialist to ensure all safety related training is conducted appropriately at the Distribution Center.

  • Undertake special projects on behalf of Global Faucets HR and the Arkansas Faucets Management team.

Skills/Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years Human Resources experience.

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Strong computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Prior manufacturing and union relations HR experience preferred.

  • Understanding of executive recruiting practices, succession planning, training, and development strategies.

The salary range for this position is $56,900 - $71,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
