SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to provide demonstrated sub-journeyman-level work in a designated craft.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Performs Corrective & Preventive Maintenance Tasks On various equipment, buildings and utility systems using one or more craft trade skills. Maintains records of materials, jobs, and other pertinent information.

Operation, Maintenance, and Repair Assists with installation, maintenance, and repair of systems and equipment for generators and assists with general maintenance duties

Emergency Response Provides on-call after-hours and emergency response and maintenance/repair. Coordinates with and provides backup support for work performed by HVPS and generator group.

General Assistance and Support Provides general assistance and support to the HVPS and other craft/trades. Helps unload and move equipment, and supplies

Daily Paperwork and Documentation Accurately and timely completes all required paperwork - activity logs, etc. CMMS. Cleans and maintains all equipment and work areas. Follows all safety precautions, and ensures knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job. Operates lifts, equipment, and heavy equipment to provide general maintenance services, site work and cleaning etc.

High school diploma or equivalent. Two years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation)
