Overview

ABM Industries is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Parking Operations Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of all aspects of parking operations, including staffing, facility management, revenue optimization, and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our clients and patrons.

Pay: $40,000 - $45,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Management:

  2. Adhere and enforce location initiatives to optimize parking operations and drive revenue growth.

  3. Ensure performance goals and objectives are met for the parking team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client expectations.

  4. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  5. Staffing and Training:

  6. Train a team of parking attendants, valet lead, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

  7. Provide ongoing coaching and training opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.

  8. Assist with staffing schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the parking facility.

  9. Facility Operations:

  10. Assist in the day-to-day operation of parking facilities, including entrance and exit management, valet, traffic flow optimization, and maintenance activities.

  11. Enforce parking policies, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure compliance by patrons and staff.

  12. Coordinate with maintenance and janitorial teams to address facility maintenance and cleanliness issues promptly.

  13. Revenue Management:

  14. Audit, review and enforce parking payment systems, including cash handling procedures, credit card processing, and mobile payment options.

  15. Analyze revenue trends and performance data to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization.

  16. Customer Service Excellence:

  17. Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure that all staff members provide courteous and efficient service to patrons.

  18. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed expectations.

  19. Implement service improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and satisfaction surveys.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in parking operations leadership and/or valet operation, preferably in the facility management or hospitality industry.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and empower employees to achieve their full potential.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving operational efficiency and performance.

  • Proficiency in parking management software systems and technology solutions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, employees, and stakeholders at all levels.
