JOB REQUIREMENTS: Horicon School District is seeking a passionate educator for a full-time, K-12 Intellectual Disability/Significant Delay Special Education Teacher for students with significant disabilities for the 2024-25 school year. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to case manage, co-teach, and provide specially-designed instruction for students in special education. Applications should have experience with writing CCR IEPs, designing and delivering academic and behavior interventions, implementing classroom technology, PBIS, restorative practices, and trauma-sensitive practices. The School District of Horicon prioritizes engaging, differentiated instruction driven by school assessment data, and educators who can demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work collaboratively are desired. Must be able to create systems that encourage students to work to the best of their abilities and take pride in their achievements and provide a stimulating environment in which students learn, interact and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The Teacher shall: Maintain each student\'s learning in a well-organized, positive environment. Work cooperatively with staff, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Maintain professional attitudes and competence. Effectively develop and implement specially-designed instruction for a variety of developmental abilities and levels, particularly nonverbal students. Conduct IEP meetings, write IEPs, and provide IEP services according to provided timelines. Design and implement lessons with DPI\'s essential elements and grade level standards as needed according to student IEPs. Supervise, train, and manage classroom support staff assignments. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Wisconsin DPI certification Cross-Categorical Special Education and Intellectual Disability licenses.
