RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains the orderly sanitary, attractive and safe condition of the Medical Center according to Medical Center procedures.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Continuous: seeing, hearing, standing, walking, reaching forward, grasping, handling.

• Frequent: pushing and pulling 20 to30 psi; lifting floor to knuckle up to 15 lbs., knuckle to shoulder up to 10 lbs., shoulder to overhead up to 5 lbs., carrying up to 15 lbs., talking, bending, squatting, stooping, crouching, overhead reaching, fingering.

• Occasional: pushing and pulling up to 40 psi, lifting floor to knuckle 35 lbs., knuckle to shoulder 20 lbs., shoulder to overhead 10 lbs., carrying 35 lbs., sitting, running, climbing ladder and stairs, side bending, crawling, kneeling.

• Operates machines, tools and work aides include housekeeping carts, linen carts, mop bucket, cleaning supplies, mop broom.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.

• Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• High School diploma preferred.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
