Financial Analyst (w/m/d)

To join our team in Hilden, Germany

Role Responsibilities

Controlling activities

  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and yearly activities related to the closing cycle for the operations in Turkey through timely submission and consolidation of the financial data. Contribute directly to ensure high-level quality and accuracy of the financials prepared within the agreed closing time timeline.

  • Prepare Accounts Reconciliations and Journal Entries according to Company policies and ensure timely submission of the appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Coordination of third-party accounting provider in delivering the activities as per the service level agreement and in compliance with Company policies and USGAAP requirements.

  • Coordination of the material cost calculation and annual standard cost preparation as well as the proper evaluation of the annual inventory. Supervision of monthly and yearly inventory stock take in collaboration with Supply Chain and within the guidance issued by LORD Division EMEA controlling.

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Company Policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) requirements. Coordination of SOX quarterly review and support the implementation and development of continuous improvement and any remediation actions identified.

  • Support Supply Chain Analyst by providing guidance and training regarding inventory management.

  • Support the EPM division in Closing and SOX related activities for the EMEA region.

    Financiel Analysis

  • Provide financial insights, business analysis as requested by the EPM division (profitability analysis, cost center spending report, pricing, POP and product mix analysis, SGM analysis and bridges etc.).

  • Provide timely bridges per Corporate and Group guidance to better understand the performance of the business and highlight opportunities for profitability improvement over-time. Support the EPM Location Controller in preparing monthly financial packages and answering to follow-up questions through coordination across functions in EMEA.

  • Support the monthly, quarterly and yearly forecast process by consolidating data inputs and providing analysis on assumptions.

    Ad-hoc projects

    Support new projects and developments related to LDE Finance team and organization related to process optimization, LEAN and continuous improvement, system standardization and implementation.Support new projects and developments related to LDE Finance team and organization related to process optimization, LEAN and continuous improvement, system standardization and implementation.     Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance

  • 4-6 years’ experience in general and cost accounting area

  • Exposure to USGAAP and SOX preferred

  • Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices

  • Functional understanding of cost accounting and adopt to practical application

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts

  • English mandatory, other European languages appreciated (ie. French, German, Italian)
