VadaTech Inc. Electronics Test Technician in Henderson, Nevada

VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Due to growth, we seeking candidates for Electronics Test Technician. This role is responsible for performing product testing of board and system level products, diagnosing and troubleshooting product failures as required using strong technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional test of company’s board and system level products

  • Test and troubleshoot board failures as required

  • Assist engineering on prototype testing

  • Provide detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during functional test to assist in component-level troubleshooting.

  • Adhering to Manufacturing Process instructions or other established procedures during the manufacturing process to produce a quality product.

  • Follows all applicable work instructions to perform testing and repair processes.

  • Take initiative to identify problems and their root causes as well as participate in implementing solutions.

  • Discuss problems (technical and process) encountered while testing/troubleshooting with supervisor and engineering staff and recommend solutions to improve work efficiency.

  • Escalate product and process issues to management and help with problem resolution.

  • Follows all corporate, safety and production procedures and regulations and maintains a clean and orderly workstation. Assures that his/her group adheres to the company standards and regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum electronics certification from accredited two-year technical or four-year Engineering school

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as electronics technician in manufacturing test environment

  • Troubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modes

  • Using test instruments like Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, etc.

  • Basic Networking knowledge required

  • Reading and understanding schematics, datasheets and written work instructions

  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace

  • Fluent domain of the English language: Ability to read, write and speak English well

  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Manual dexterity in order to use shipping equipment and related tools.

  • Sitting and standing for long hours in an indoor work environment.

  • Ability to move around the facility, climbing stairs as necessary, bend down and reach up.

  • Frequently communicate with others; must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (one-person lift) additional weight lifted should be a two-person lift.
