QHSE Manager

Within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Production we are looking for a QHSE Manager.

Your primary goal is to achieve a high degree of joint ownership of quality and compliance strategies within production while addressing regulatory requirements in an effective, timely, and responsible manner. Your secondary goal is to secure the business by monitoring all HSE regulations and activities throughout the plant and HSE activities related to installed products . What would you do as our QHSE Manager

You are responsible for the quality of all products distributed towards the direct and indirect channels and you have the authority to manage all work affecting quality. You will provide leadership for the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of quality systems, policies, and procedures covering the operations in Heerhugowaard. Your organization contains Quality Production, Quality Engineering, HSE coordination, Production Support, and Technical Service. In total 7 direct reports and 6 indirect reports.

You keep challenging, not only yourself, but also the rest of the team, to improve the performance, processes, and control. This position of QHSE Manager is a vital, demanding, independent, and interesting position in the Production Plant. You report directly to the Plant Manager. Next to that, you’re in close contact with the Quality manager of Industrial Door Solutions and the ASSA ABLOY sales organizations.

You would also

  • Formulating and managing the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems about the quality assurance and regulatory functions.

  • Coordinating and initiating a variety of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities (owned, leased, outsourced) ensuring that the organization complies with external regulations, standards, and internal sustainable objectives.

  • Monitoring environmental and safety incidents and initiating corrective actions to secure operation.

  • Auditing the process of quality, HSE regularly. Tracking and monitoring the performance of each KPI and advising local management.

  • Collecting customer feedback regularly, assessing the customer’s satisfaction index, and developing and initiating improvement actions.

  • Providing leadership for developing and directing quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives (cost-of-poor-quality reduction, audit system, etc.) for all products, processes, and services.

  • Led cross-functional projects (e.g. quality councils) to improve quality within the supply chain using QA timelines, plans, and position strategies

    The skills and experience you need

    We are looking for someone who

  • BSc. BSc. Degree in Technical Business Management, Commercial Economy, International Business Management or equivalent

  • Track record in a similar (Production) environment and familiar with working in an international matrix-driven organization

  • Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and English, both verbally and in writing

  • Experience in different management tools like ISO and ERP systems (AX Dynamics)

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

  • The position is permanent but ZZP’ers are asked to apply as well

  • Knowledge of LEAN and 5S
