Google Operations Program Manager, Hardware (Electronic Product Manufacturing) in Hanoi, Vietnam

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years of working experience in electronics/computer.

  • Manufacturing/operations experience in OEM management and Supply Chain.

  • Ability to actively participate in complex discussions in English and Chinese

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in Operations Program Management for Hardware (electronic product manufacturing); or equivalent practical experience.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and OEM management skills and solve problems cross-functionally.

  • Ability to work under pressure and persistence to achieve goals.

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

  • Drive manufacturing operational readiness in the factory leveraging partner resources as well as ongoing efficiency and improvement across factories from ramp to End-of-Life.

  • Work with OEM partners to ensure performance targets for Quality, Turn Around Time (TAT) and Throughput (I/O/S) are met or exceeded from ramp to EOL.

  • Anticipate production and operational risk, communicate and mitigate; Work closely with OEMs to manage line bring-ups, qualification, material availability and quality issues. Secure right level of capacity based on quarterly and weekly forecast and horizons; Lead regular meetings to communicate plans with cross-functional operations and demand planning; Adapt plans based on changing customer requirements.

  • Coordinate with OEM factory and Operations/Logistics teams to prioritize critical shipments/orders and ensure orders ship clearly as scheduled.

  • Ensure OEM reporting is accurate and timely. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with partners; Manage E&O tracking and secure destruction; Develop process to accomplish above responsibilities, identify improvements.
