Hotel: Columbus Airport Marriott Restaurant Server Part time Atrium SPIRIT - where teamwork, passion and appreciation ignite service excellence Rate of Pay for Experienced Server: $5.51 per hour Profile: Telecommute: No Bonus Eligible: No Direct Reports: No Reports To: Executive Chef, Banquet Manager or All Purpose Manager Equipment: Uniform Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the Restaurant Server is to provide guests with an excellent restaurant experience. Work Performed: TheRestaurantServerwill be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments: Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or specialservices; Ensure prompt and courteous service toguests; Answer telephone calls and process phoneorders; Greet guests, escort them to tables, and provide menus, answering dining related questions, and suggest food and beverageitems; Take food and beverage orders, relay orders to kitchen,and serve food toguests; Coordinate amenity delivery request in connection with the kitchendepartment; Monitors tables in assigned section ensuring allguestsareserved; Address guestcomplaints; Collect and process guestpayments; Totals receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clear cashregister; Ensures tips are reported properly for taxprocessing; Clear dirty table settings and preparetableforresetting; Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen andcondiments; Inspect dining room serving stations for neatness andcleanliness; Assistservicestaff as necessary to service guests in a timelymanner; Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; and Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. Qualifications: Preferred Prior Experience: Six(6)months of previous customer service, restaurantand/or cashier experience Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Licenses/ Certification: Food Safety Trainingcertifiedor become certified within first 60 days of employment. Alcohol Awareness certifiedor become certified within first 60 days of employment Preferred Technology: Previous experience with Micros operating system Physical: Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs Ableto bend and squat repeatedly Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift Other: Flexible towork day, early morning, evening, weekend and holidayshifts
