Who we are looking for: We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for a full-time position from Columbus, OH, or Richmond, VA or Fort Belvoir, VA, supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) We are an organization that is committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry and looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer who will be supporting Enterprise Software Systems for the DLA and working with a team of technical experts in an agile environment to support current systems and functionality for a suite of applications. What your day-to-day will look like / Duties: Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized information assurance problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to IA requirements. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems. Error correction and correct all maintenance problems that require code and/or operational modifications. Preventive maintenance, evaluate and employ the tools and activities tuning, code restructuring, and other efforts typically undertaken to improve the efficiency and reliability of programs and to minimize ongoing maintenance requirements. Services for minor enhancements that will be made to the applications in response to written requests from authorized officials. On-Demand/Ad Hoc maintenance requests for the program. Application regulatory change review and ensure that all software, hardware, and applications maintain compliance with regulatory changes. Patching and installing manufacturer field change orders, service packs, firmware, software maintenance releases, etc. Perform product patches, "bug fixes," service pack installation, or upgrades to the currently installed versions. Perform routine maintenance during regular periods scheduled in advance and approved by COTR/COR. Conduct maintenance periods with minimal impact on users (preferably outside normal business hours). The contractor shall adjust their personnel's work schedule to conduct maintenance periods outside normal Government business hours. Any additional maintenance conducted outside. Government normal business hours shall be included upfront within the contractors' pricing for this effort. The maintenance period shall be conducted onsite or remotely after receiving COTR / COR advance approval. Ensure that systems will be unavailable during maintenance windows only to the extent necessary for systems maintenance purposes.
