WorkSource Oregon Manager, Rail Equipment Maintenance in GRESHAM, Oregon

The Manager of Rail Equipment Maintenance will provide leadership and effectively integrate and translate the principles and focus of the District\'s strategic direction into the management of the Department. They will implement preventative maintenance plans that include the measurement for all maintenance activities to ensure safe, cost efficient and quality based maintenance practices. This position ensures department members understand their part in fulfilling agency goals and vision, and instills a strong safety and customer service culture. Responsibilities include setting of goals and performance objectives, monitoring and adjusting objectives as needed to achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results. In this position you will manage all operational activities of the Rail Equipment Maintenance (REM) department placing priority on ensuring vehicles meet the highest safety and reliability standards. Participate in the development, implementation, management and meeting of department KPI\'s. As well as be responsible for preventative maintenance, running repair and overhaul of light rail vehicle components. You will be responsible for employee and labor relations, performance management, and monitoring of resource allocation and productivity. Five (5) days a week onsite are required. Ensure a commitment to safety through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of job requirements that demonstrate safety is a fundamental value that guides all aspects of our work. Perform related duties as required. Serve as a good steward by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers\' experiences and of our product and service offerings.
