Vontier Reliability Electronics Technician II in Greensboro, North Carolina

This position is for a Reliability Electronics Technician to perform reliability testing, lab development and maintenance in an electronics / software / mechanical environment for Reliability Engineering.

What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)

Team Leadership

· Contribute in a positive manner that aligns with team goals and objectives

· Work in a strong team environment with willingness to learn, share and mentor associates

· Support department EH&S and 5S housekeeping initiatives

· Perform maintenance and continuous development of the Reliability Labs

· Drive increase in product reliability and reduction in warranty costs

Execute Lab Work Requests

· Perform set-up, component/assembly testing and reporting of test results for the Reliability Labs as requested by team lead and lab manager

· Apply scientific methodology and analytical skills to test performance with high work standards

· Support coworkers in test setup and execution to ensure strong test performance and maintain project schedules

· Provide feedback with a sense of urgency as questions and concerns arise during all phases of test and test development

· Provide input and feedback for test improvement

Support Department Development and Sustainment

· Participate in and support development of test methods and sustainment

· Utilize best practices and application of DAC methods for test automation and test repeatability

· Participate in and utilize Vontier Business System (VBS) initiatives to provide overall department growth and sustainment

· Minimum AAS degree with strong technical background in electronics and test fixturing abilities

· 3-5 years related experience preferred with test setup, testing, validation and reporting methodologies

· Experience with Gilbarco products a plus

· Must be able to read and understand written instructions

· Good hands-on skills with mechanical / electrical aptitude

· Ability to program PLCs, NI LabView, and other DAQ devices a plus

· Ability to understand and apply a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments

· Good, independent writing skills using Word and Excel with ability to write a multipage report

· Experience with EMC/EMI/FCC testing is highly desirable
