Job Description Great Falls Montana Tourism is eager to bring a creative visionary onto our team that will plan large-scale signature events, during off-peak occupancy that will bring attendees from across the world! It's a big task and there is more: You'll also be asked to connect with established events that show great promise and offer assistance in enhancing the event. The core of the job is to develop an annual event strategy and budget then plan, facilitate, and manage logistics for all events in the annual strategy, including budgets, sponsors, contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, marketing materials, and independently troubleshoot day of event issues. It should go without saying, but we'll say it anyway ? it's extremely likely the events will occur over weekends, so you'll be required to work the weekends the events you've planned are happening. The right person for our team should have an entrepreneurial fire, big. . . nay, HUGE ideas of what an event in Great Falls, Montana could be and should look like, the ability to make those ideas a reality with top-notch time management, impeccable attention to detail, and be hyper-focused on return-on-investment-results. Salary range starts at $50,000, but it could be higher, depending on how stellar of a performer you are. At your core, you should take initiative, add value, and overcome obstacles, independently.
