Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Act as production lead in the build of production and prototype part as directed by the heads of manufacturing or engineering. Interface with engineering, production control, quality assurance, finance, and customers on issues, design factors, inventory and overall progress in making desired schedules.

  • Support the development, engineering and production groups in the area of test systems, including the development of test systems and set-up and on-going test of production and prototype parts. Present accurate, well organized and clear data in various forms for evaluation by end-users.

  • Communication skills, attention to detail, ability to plan and prioritize tasks, analytical skills, initiative and well organized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take initiative on test and assembly tasks including troubleshooting and corrective actions

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair camera calibration systems

  • Program and troubleshoot PCB assemblies

  • Prioritize tasks for highest efficiency

  • Train others in assembly and test

  • Generate production reports detailing status and problem areas

  • Generate production yield reports and proactively respond to yield excursions

  • Responsible for transferring new products from Engineering to Production including training, creating work instructions, assembly and testing

  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on production failures and RMA returns

  • Develop work instructions for new products

  • Develop new assembly and test methods

  • Able to work independently without detailed work instructions

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to define and conduct experiments to identify the root cause of technical and non-technical problems. Capable of analyzing alternate approaches and developing practical solutions to solve problems.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork is necessary to establish good working relationships with product team, engineering, and production.

  • Strong Communication Skills in speaking and writing, in such a manner, that it is easy to understand and interpret what and why information is being communicated. Listens attentively without interrupting and/or being distracted by other things.

  • Displaying strong personal Initiative and motivation is vital to achieving desired performance results with projects that support the organization.

Experience and Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, electronics, science or physics.

Salary Range:

$59,400.00-$79,310.000
