Introduction:

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager – Technical Support , who will be responsible for the Technical Support function at Boeing’s London Gatwick (LGW) Hangar according to Boeing and regulatory standards.

Maintenance Manager - Technical Support will also be responsible for Boeing's Part 145 Technical Support functions, including Technical Services, Production Planning, Technical Records, Technical Projects and Data Analysts teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Maintenance & Modification Technical Support teams ensuring that Safety, Compliance and Quality across their department is prioritised and maintained at all times.

  • Responsible for budget control within their reporting line and department according to the business plan.

  • Responsible for the Technical Support provided for all Maintenance & Modifications performed by the LGW GTO team.

  • Maintaining oversight of all associated Technical Support functions, including Part 145 Technical Services, Production Planning, Technical Records, Technical Projects and Data Analysts, ensuring regulatory compliance of all Approved Maintenance Organisation approvals held.

  • Responsible for cost tracking, control and invoice data collection to contract for Maintenance & Modifications inputs.

  • Supporting internal, customer and Regulatory Authority audits, ensuring that all findings and issues raised are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in Technical Support of Maintenance & Modifications at the LGW facility meets Boeing’s Part-145 requirements.

  • Ensuring staffing and utilisation of the LGW Maintenance & Modifications Technical Support teams meet business objectives and customer commitments. Maintaining regulatory compliance by having an up to date manhour plan in place for their department at all times.

  • Responsible for a culture of Safety, Compliance, First Time Quality, Technical Excellence and Product Integrity.

  • Supporting the implementation of standardisation, LEAN and OneBPS principles, in support of Boeing GTO Europe objectives.

  • Maintaining a detailed knowledge and of Part 145 procedures, policies and principles.

  • Maintaining an excellent communication and flow-down of relevant information throughout the LGW team.

  • Driving innovation to support MRO production efficiency.

  • Identifying cost reduction initiatives within aircraft Maintenance & Modifications environments.

  • Driving a reporting culture according to the EASA Part-145 SMS regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Holds an EASA or UK CAA Part 66 Licence and / or degree associated to Aircraft Maintenance with at least 5 years practical maintenance and / or Technical Support experience, preferably within a Base Maintenance and / or Modification environment.

  • Extensive working knowledge, experience and proven application of UK-CAA and EASA Part 145 regulations.

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory position within an Approved Maintenance Organisation.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
