If you enjoy working outdoors and like working with your hands, a Semi-Skilled Laborer position at Pine Grove Furnace State Park may be the job for you!  Pine Grove Furnace State Park is looking for a positive individual who strives to keep the park facilities in good working order for the safe, enjoyable recreation and relaxation of our park visitors.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK This is semi-skilled manual work in the construction and maintenance of various buildings, grounds or public works projects.  You will perform semi-skilled work independently, assist a skilled trades worker, or functions as lead worker for a small crew of manual workers performing routine tasks. Work involves the use of a variety of construction, grounds keeping and maintenance equipment and tools, which frequently requires the application of skills acquired on the job. You will also perform minor repairs and routine grounds keeping, and custodial duties are performed with considerable independence and reviewed upon completion.More advanced construction or repair work is performed under the direction of a skilled trades worker or supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday - Monday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed; 37.5 hours/week - 7-day operation.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
