LifePoint Health Billing Specialist II in Gallatin, Tennessee
At an advanced level, completes patient billing processes for assigned area.
Reports to: Market Director - Physician Practices
Patient billing processes to include charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, refunds, adjustments, denial follow-up, AR management, and reporting. Drag Edit Delete
Manages commercial insurance, private pay and industrial accounts. Drag Edit Delete
Answers billing questions taking into consideration allowable and Medicare guidelines. Drag Edit Delete
Completes payment posting and creates bank deposits tracking EFT’s, ERA’s and payments made over the phone
Minimum Education Associate’s degree in related field - Required Will accept High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years clinical billing experience, in lieu of Associates degree Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Licenses: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Preferred Drag Edit Delete
Minimum Work Experience 5 years clinic billing experience in one or more of the following specialties: Pediatrics, GI, Endoscopy, General & Vascular Surgery, OBGYN, Cardiology, Orthopaedics - Required.
