Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to oversee maintenance operations within our manufacturing shop. The role involves installing, inspecting, and maintaining machinery and equipment, executing preventive maintenance routines, and ensuring the overall safety and functionality of our facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Evaluate systems and facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.

  • Supervise maintenance and repair work, ensuring quality and timely completion.

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.

  • Conduct troubleshooting activities and perform routine preventive maintenance.

  • Interpret and follow operation manuals and technical instructions.

  • Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.

  • Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as required.

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with health and safety regulations.

  • Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1+ years of experience in building and leading teams.

  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role.

  • Graduation from a trade or vocational school preferred.

  • Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Physical dexterity.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE
