Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Frederick, Maryland

Description:

Aerotek is looking for a talented and knowledgeable Maintenance Technician. This person will be responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will be adept at installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment. This is a hand’s on job, which includes mechanical, welding and fabrication skills, blueprint reading, basic carpentry and math skills. An ideal candidate would also be able to troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on a wide variety of heavy industrial equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree from a Technical School or University preferred or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of industrial environment experience

  • Knowledge and experience with

  • Hydraulics

  • Pneumatics

  • Fabrication

  • Welding

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as an mechanic within a manufacturing environment - ideally heavy industrial

  • An Associate degree in Electrical Technology and/or graduation from an acceptable Technical Training Institution in an electrical or electronic systems program is preferred.

  • Proven experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and/or computer-controlled production equipment essential

  • Must be able to read and understand complex program and equipment manuals with a high degree of comprehension and accuracy

  • Possess experience in AC/DC motor control.
