JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under general supervision, the Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies to manufacture metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties. \$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Basic interpretation of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. * Measures, marks, and scribes\' dimensions and reference points on materials or work piece as guides for subsequent machining as necessary. * Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required. * Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required. * Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. * Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. * Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * Verifies conformance of finished work piece to drawing specifications. * Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. * Meets production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality. * Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. * Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures and regulations. * Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines. * Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner. *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company* EXPORT COMPLIANCE DISCLAIMER This position includes access or potential access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data.
