Natives of Kodiak Recycling Laborer-Fort Novosel, AL in Fort Rucker, Alabama

KOMAN Government Solutions, LLC (KGS), a wholly-owned 8(a) subsidiary of the Natives of Kodiak, an Alaska Native Corporation, provides high-quality remediation, consulting, engineering, waste management, munition services, and construction services. KGS is characterized by our financial stability, positive and profitable growth and an excellent safety record. Our Client base includes the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Guard Bureau, Federal Aviation Administration, General Services Administration and Housing and Urban Development, as well as various state, municipal and commercial entities.

We have an immediate need for a Recycling Laborer to be responsible for assisting visitors, monitoring the placement of recyclables into proper containers, and maintaining a safe and clean facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate recycling collection schedules to optimize service and efficiency.

  • Operate computer and standard office equipment.

  • Assists customers, processes material in the facility.

  • Collect and organize metals, paper, cardboard, electronics, toner and batteries to their appropriate containers.

  • Collect recyclable materials from buildings for delivery to the recycling center.

  • Operate state bed vehicles and back them to loading dock areas.

  • Operate balers to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.

  • Record logs of recycled materials.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks for shipping to other recycled materials processing facilities.

  • Clean recycling building by sweeping, picking up loose paper debris, or moving barrels and bins.

Top candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience and a valid driver's license with acceptable history.
