Experience/Education/Skillsets Needed:

  • 2 years education or 2 years or more of machine shop experience or equivalent

Job Requirements Include:

  • Work safely and follow all HWMI and OSHA safety requirements
  • Program, Setup and Run Equipment as needed in Machine Shop to Produce Precision Parts
    • Utilize CAM offline programming using Autocad Fusion 360

- Understanding of machining foundations for speeds, feeds, etc. to maximize efficiency and operations of the equipment - Properly fixture, setup and run various complex parts - Properly utilize all of HWMI resources --- we have a full shop of manual lathes, mills, HBMs, precision grinders and 4 CNC vertical mills, 2 CNC lathes, and 1 large capacity CNC HBM

``` - Meet established production and quality standards - Read Engineering Drawings and Part Prints - Inspection - experienced in all forms of hand inspection - Calipers, Micrometers, gages, indicators, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver up to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions and maneuver material in and out of equipment
  • This is a 40 hour per week job with occasional mandatory overtime

Other Desirable (Not necessary) Skills include:

  • Produce basic sketches of parts for engineers to duplicate.
  • Background and Experience in other various equipment we have in-house: Manual mills and lathes, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, blanchard grinders, jig borer, key seaters, hydraulic presses, heat treat ovens, spray metalizing, etc.
