Butler Ag Transportation Coordinator in Fargo, North Dakota

Our Logistics Team is seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and excels at multitasking. If you’re passionate about logistics and enjoy providing top-notch customer service, this role might be a perfect fit for you!

As the Transportation Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow and timely delivery of machines, attachments, and parts within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of transportation management, including load creation, invoice creation and coding, department reporting, and system setup.

Responsibilities:

  • Import loads into transportation software to prepare for dissemination to drivers and outside carriers.

  • Dispatch loads to company trucks or outside carriers.

  • Ensure all loads are correctly rated and delivery information is included.

  • Effectively communicate status of loads.

  • Assists with administrative items such as coordinating/developing annual driver training, obtaining outside carrier paperwork, and entering salesmen into transport system.

  • Document and report on transportation activities, costs, and performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide timely reports and insights.

  • Relay routing to drivers as well as costs to internal departments and outside carriers.

  • Communicate status of loads to those involved.

  • Receive and correctly code invoices for payment to outside carries for loads hauled.

  • Index machine movements within the system.

  • Pilot for drivers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • One year experience working with and dispatching heavy haul trucks

  • Knowledge of DOT legal requirements, heavy and ag equipment, and truck and trailers preferred

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Good organizational skills are essential
