[Spherion Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join a local Fargo team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

[Pay: $53-70k/year DOE

[Responsibilities: -Ensure compliance with all federal and state payroll regulations -Provide communication and training of regulatory changes to all appropriate individuals -Ensure all regulatory reports are filed within established deadlines -Maintain state tax accounts, including the establishment and closure of tax withholding and unemployment accounts, as needed -Resolve issues with tax agencies in a timely manner -Establish controls to verify compliance with regulatory agencies and accuracy of pay statements and ensures tests are performed according to prescribed timelines -Ensures tax withholdings are received by filing agency and filed on-time -Audit employee tax withholding information to ensure appropriate state taxes are being withheld -Responsible for entering all garnishment orders and validating results -Responsible for entering monthly sales incentives -Assist accounting with reconciliation of payroll accounts -Coordinate payroll year-end activities and ensures accurate W2 forms -Provide back-up to HR Payroll Specialist as needed -Complete verification of employment requests -Process manual checks and debit card transactions, as needed -Respond to payroll related inquiries and resolves payroll concerns]{tahoma",sans-serif"=""}]{tahoma",sans-serif"=""}]{tahoma",sans-serif"=""}
