Panera, LLC Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Fairfield, New Jersey

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Panera Bread has a need for a full-time multi-craft maintenance mechanic to join our Fresh Dough Facility (FDF) in Fairfield, NJ. Our facility produces all of the bread, bagel, and roll dough for all of our bakery-cafes in the region. We are seeking a mechanic experienced in working within a manufacturing environment repairing, maintaining, and installing all types of bakery/food production equipment and machinery, as well as general facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Include: Provides support to the production staff to minimize downtime and maintain high safety and quality standards. Manage and perform scheduled equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program. Troubleshoot and repair all process equipment as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible. Initiates purchase order for equipment and facility needs. To work in a manner which is safe, clean, and well organized. Work a rotating shift with one day of weekend coverage. Job Requirements A minimum of 2 years' experience as a mechanic in a production/manufacturing environment, food industry is preferred. Well versed in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and systems. Experience in the use of basic hand tools, electrical meters, grinding equipment, drill press and band saws. Refrigeration and HVAC experience is a definite plus. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical drawings, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to perform basic math. Need to also have the ability to communicate effectively with employees in the organization. Welding (ARC, TIG, MIG).
