VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine in Fairfax, Virginia

Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician who wants to enhance the knowledge and skills you’ve invested your time and talent in developing? Do you like to learn about diseases and how they are diagnosed? Then the Internal Medicine Department at VCA SouthPaws is looking for you!

As an LVT in Internal Medicine, you will get to assist in procedures such as endoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, bone marrows, and so much more. You will utilize all of the skills you worked so hard to achieve in school, and gain many more along the way.

  • Competitive Compensation: LVTs at SouthPaws earn $30.00-$43.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Weekend shifts receive an additional differential ($3.50 per hour).

Desired Qualifications: We're looking for competitive LVT candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Proven track record of providing exceptional patient care and advocating for patient well-being.

  • Proficiency in monitoring anesthesia, radiography, venipuncture, effective patient monitoring, and medication administration.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with clients.

  • Flexibility in scheduling and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
