We are currently looking to fill permanent positions at our Everett location. The Scaffold Helper is responsible for safely supporting erection and dismantling assignments as part of a crew, under the direct supervision of a scaffold competent person, and for performing all assigned tasks in accordance with BrandSafway, customer and host facility policies and procedures and Federal, State and Local Laws.

Description of Essential Duties

  • Provide support to a scaffold crew in the erecting and dismantling of a scaffold and effectively communicate with crew members and supervision;
  • Organize and maintain a scaffold yard, including the unloading of racks after the dismantling of a scaffold;
  • During scaffold erection, assist in hazard recognition and site preparation, unload and stage materials as directed and pass material to a scaffold crew, either from the ground or as part of a chain-line (daisy chain);
  • During scaffold dismantling, pass material as part of a chain-line or receive material if not part of the chain-line and place into a rack for transport back to the scaffold yard;
  • Inspect scaffold components for damage and/or defects;
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed by a scaffold crew;
  • Perform general housekeeping and all assigned duties on a jobsite, as directed by supervision;
  • Utilize scaffold tools while erecting or dismantling a scaffold as part of a crew;
