Responsibilities

  • Using Solidworks, concept, design, and build automation equipment.

  • Work as part of a team using critical thinking skills to develop new machine platforms.

  • Provide mechanical installation support and technical expertise throughout project.

  • Work unsupervised in the assembly, set-up, and integration of automation equipment as needed.

  • Optimize performance of automated equipment, inspection equipment and robotic work-cells.

  • Work with vendors on project requirements and establish equipment specifications.

  • Collaborate on training instructions and standard operating procedures for use in equipment implementation.

  • Participate in all aspects of safety, costs savings, continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

  • Adhere to all Berry Global, industry, and / or regulatory procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year mechanical design experience with strong Solidworks experience.

  • Strong project management, organization, and problem solving skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and with others.

  • Ability to work at continuously varying heights for an 8 hour shift and lift 50 lbs. occasionally.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
