Middle School Business Teacher w/Coaching Duties (CDL Required)

Job Description:

England Public Schools is actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School

Business Teacher w/Coaching Duties for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.

Qualifications of Employment:

? Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in the subject area.

? A teaching license or plan for obtaining one approved by the district.

? Must have or be willing to obtain a CDL prior to the start of your specific sport

season.

? A passion and love for learning and teaching students.

? Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.

? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

? Resilience and a positive attitude.

? Superb interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

? The ability to establish rapport and build professional relationships with students.

Responsibilities:

? Currently holds or is able to secure an Arkansas teaching license in Business

Technology (250) & Coaching license and/or AAA Coaching Certification.

? The coach is responsible for all the teacher duties as well as the following:

? Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and

improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned.

? Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions

to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good

sportsmanship.

? Take all necessary precautions to protect student athletes, equipment,

materials, and facilities.

? Keep informed of and ensure compliance with all Arkansas Activities

Association rules.

? Accompany and supervise student athletes during athletic competitions in

assigned sports including out-of-town trips.

? Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice

sessions, and while on trips off school property in accordance with

Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

? Encourage, by example and through instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in

all phases of athletic participation.

? Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences

with parents, students, principals, and teachers.

? Strives to improve students academic performance and motivate students to

learn

? Strive to implement, by instruction and action, the districts philosophy of

education and instructional goals and objectives

? Assists the school, i.e., administrators, teachers, students and support staff, to

reach their academic and behavioral benchmarks and goals

? Establishes high expectations for students cognitive, affective and behavioral

learning, growth and development

? Contributes to the teaching and achievement of skills, performance standards

and outcomes

? Assists students in making appropriate choices and in decision making

? Assists in cultivating the development of students character

? Engages in the development of well-rounded students: including physically,

intellectually, socially and emotionally to promote good mental and social

health in students

? Creates a classroom environment and lessons that are conducive to learning

and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students (including

differentiation and engagement)

? Teaches middle-level students: utilizing course guidelines that are aligned with

Arkansas teaching/learning standards and other designated district curriculum

expectations

? Uses technology to help students produce projects to demonstrate their

understanding and skill attainment

? Has a passion for teaching in a student-centered classroom

? Provides opportunities, when needed , for individualized and small-group

instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student; includes the

capacity to recognize the need for intervention

? Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an

orderly, productive and engaging classroom environment

? Evaluates each students progress in science and literacy skills to provide

support as needed

? Creates engaging, active lesson plans to promote student mastery

? Communicates with parents and other personnel regarding student mastery

and progress

? Supervises students in and out of classroom during the assigned workday

? Maintains professional competence by participating in continuous professional

growth, curriculum development opportunities, Professional Learning

Communities, Response to Intervention teams, as well as other leadership

collaborative teams
