ManTech is seeking a Data Tech to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB . The Data Tech's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Data collection (to include real-time, post, and truth data), data pre-processing (cutting data), data reduction, data archiving, and meeting data deliverables.

  • Troubleshooting missing data and malfunctioning network systems

  • Responsible for aircraft media inventory, media formatting and ensuring media availability for flight operations.

  • Ingest, catalog, and perform validation of flight data.

  • Set up and perform Aircrew Mission Debriefs with Pilots, Intel, and Analysts

  • Write customized procedures and user guidance to support specific Data Tech tasks.

  • Perform setup and teardown of essential systems for deployment/temporary duty

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

  • Experience with recognizing deficiencies in processes.

  • Experience with customer focus with field service experience.

  • Understanding of general aviation procedures and regulations.

  • Ability to organize and compile data as needed.

  • Ability to occasionally travel away from the normal duty location, to include deployments CONUS and OCONUS.

  • Ability to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

  • Ability to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, shift work, and /or overtime to support mission requirements.

  • (Preferred) Background in Avionics.

  • (Preferred) Understanding of Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) regulations an operating procedure.

  • (Preferred) Work with communications protocols, specifically Fiber Channel, MIL-STD-1553, IEE-1394, CAIS Bus (Common Airborne Instrumentation System Bus), RS-485

Security Clearance:

  • Active/Valid Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility)

  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.”

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
