Front Desk Medical Assistant

Our partner in healthcare, Stinson Family Practice, is seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our team. The Front Desk Medical Assistant will be responsible for welcoming and attending to patients, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth flow of patient visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients in a courteous and professional manner

  • Manage patient registration process, including verifying patient information and insurance details

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers

  • Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries, providing exceptional customer service

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient forms and medical records

  • Collect and record payments for services rendered

  • Assist with insurance claims and billing processes

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and waiting areas

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence

  • Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Front Desk Medical Assistant or similar role REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of medical office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficient in using eClinical Works (ECW) and MS Office applications

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on providing high quality patient care
