Job Opportunity: Medical Director at Our Busy Health Care Clinic in Syracuse, NY

Position: Medical Director

Location: Syracuse, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday (No weekends, No On Call)

Salary: $325,000 - $450,000 (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to join our thriving health care clinic. This role offers a balanced blend of clinical practice and administrative duties, providing a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice (75%):

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical services, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care needs.

  • Integrated Care: Collaborate with behavioral health team members to manage co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions.

  • Clinical Leadership: Serve as a role model for evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.

  • Team Coordination: Participate in regular case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans for complex patients.

Administrative Duties (25%) :

  • Leadership: Oversee clinical operations, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality care delivery, and regulatory compliance.

  • Supervision: Mentor and support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in clinical decision-making.

  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement practice policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans for practice growth.

  • Liaison: Facilitate effective communication and teamwork between clinical and administrative staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

  • Certification: Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine/Pediatrics.

  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted medical license in NYS.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care practice.

  • Leadership: Previous leadership experience in a clinical setting preferred.
