Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Farmworkers to work in East Grand Forks, MN. From: 05/28/2024 - 09/01/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day. 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. In MN, All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Must Apply By: 07/16/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Monitor potato fields for soil moisture levels, weed, disease or insect issues. Clean farm worksite and potato storage areas. Assist in the maintenance and repair of potato storage facilities. Perform basic farm equipment maintenance. Perform shoveling, hoeing, hauling, ground preparation, and other manual tasks. Operate equipment, including tractors, mowers, wood working equipment, bobcats, skid loaders, and other farm equipment. Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required in the performance of the specified work. All tools will be provided at no cost. Participate in safety and orientation trainings. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience working with potatoes. Able to lift 50 lbs. Repetitive movements, extensive pushing, and pulling, extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping will be required. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
