Need 12 full time, temporary, seasonal Beekeepers to work in East Grand Forks, and Crookston, MN and Fordville, ND. From: 03/01/2024 to 1/15/2024. Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day A general work week is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. OVERTIME: In Minnesota only, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 07/09/2024 JOB DUTIES: All aspects of commercial beekeeping. Raise queens, feed and prepare them for winter. Putting on boxes for honey production, pull honey from hives and extract it from the combs by means of updated extracting equipment. Haul bees, driving to and from different hive locations. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience. No fear of/non-allergic to bees/pollen. Able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively. No minimum education required. Must be able to obtain Class D License and work for the entire itinerary, and join the employer at any one of the locations. EXPECTED ITINERARY: MN -- 03/01/2024 - 11/15/2024 OK -- 05/01/2024 - 10/31/2024 WAGES: MN -- $18.50/hr. OK -- $18.32/hr. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage range due to experience or merit. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
